C’est la veille de Noël, et Lizie, une fillette de dix ans, est assise près de la crèche illuminée dans le salon.	It’s Christmas Eve, and Lizie, a ten-year-old girl, is sitting near the illuminated Nativity scene in the living room.
Elle observe le petit Jésus dans la mangeoire, entouré de Marie, Joseph, les bergers et les animaux.	She watches the baby Jesus in the manger, surrounded by Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, and the animals.
Sa mère lui a raconté comment une étoile brillante a guidé les rois mages jusqu’à Bethléem pour adorer l’enfant Jésus.	Her mother has told her how a brilliant star guided the wise men to Bethlehem to worship the child Jesus.
Inspirée, Lizie décide de recréer cette étoile dans sa chambre. Elle découpe du papier doré et colle des morceaux de tissu brillant.	Inspired, Lizie decides to recreate that star in her room. She cuts golden paper and glues pieces of shiny fabric.
Une fois son étoile terminée, elle la place près de sa fenêtre.	Once her star is finished, she places it by her window.
Avant de s’endormir, elle ferme les yeux et prie : « Jésus, aide-moi à partager ton amour avec ma famille et mes amis. »	Before falling asleep, she closes her eyes and prays, “Jesus, help me share your love with my family and friends.”
Le lendemain matin, Lizie se réveille avec une idée : fabriquer de petites étoiles pour ses voisins.	The next morning, Lizie wakes up with an idea: to make small stars for her neighbors.
Tout au long de la journée, elle découpe, assemble et décore des étoiles	Throughout the day, she cuts, assembles, and decorates stars.
À chaque personne, elle offre une étoile avec un sourire et dit: « Cette étoile est pour te rappeler que Jésus est venu pour nous offrir la paix et la joie. »	To each person, she gives a star with a smile and says, “This star is to remind you that Jesus came to bring us peace and joy.”
Ce jour-là, grâce à Lizie, la maison et le quartier entier se remplissent de rires, d’amour et d’un doux rappel de ce que Noël signifie vraiment : la naissance de Jésus et l’espoir pour tous.	That day, thanks to Lizie, her home and the entire neighborhood are filled with laughter, love, and a sweet reminder of what Christmas truly means: the birth of Jesus and the hope he brings to all.
