French Conversation Groups

French Conversation Groups
One of the best ways to improve your French is to use it regularly. Joining our French Conversation groups will help you build confidence, improve your fluency, and remember what you learn in class. We encourage you to participate in one of our French Conversation Groups.
We offer two types of conversation groups:
A) French Speed Networking (FSN)
French Speed Networking (FSN) is a fun, structured, and professional event where participants practice speaking French while meeting new people.
During the event, you’ll have a series of short conversations with different participants, giving you the opportunity to practice with a variety of speaking partners in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Who can join?
- Everyone is welcome, you do not need to be a French Circles Club student.
- Whether you’re a francophone, a francophile, or simply learning French, you’re invited to participate.
When does it take place?
- Once every tree months.
Cost
- Free for active French Circles Club students.
- $10 CAD for non-students.
B) French Circles Groups (FC)
The French Circles Group (FC) is a small conversation circle of 2 to 3 students who meet once a week to practice French in a supportive and encouraging environment.
These groups are designed to help students develop speaking confidence through short, practical conversations with classmates who are at the same level or a higher level.
Unlike the French Speed Networking event, the French Circles Group is an ongoing activity available while you are enrolled in a French Circles Club program.
Eligibility
- You must be an active French Circles Club student.
- You must be enrolled in Level 3 or higher.
Benefits
- Practice speaking French every week.
- Gain confidence in real conversations.
- Reinforce what you learn in class.
- Learn from classmates at your level or above.
- Receive encouragement and support from a small group of peers.
Cost
- There is no additional fee to join a French Circles Group.
Commitment
To ensure that all members benefit from the experience, participants are expected to commit to attending all four conversation sessions, held every other week, during the duration of their current level.
We believe that regular conversation practice is one of the fastest ways to become more comfortable speaking French. The more you speak, the more natural the language becomes.
