Song : Little

French English

Quand tout va mal

When life goes wrong

Try for a little French song

French song are maybe démodées

Mais si douces à fredonner

French song are tender à l’envie

Nostalgique à l’infini

When everything is bad

When life goes wrong

Try for a little French Song

French song are maybe old-fashioned

But so sweet to hum along

French song are desirably tender

Nostalgic to the eternity

Et quand on ne sais plus

Whever to belong

Try for a little French song

French song will take you to Paris

To Pigalle ou l’pile saint Louis

French song are dancing sous la pluie

De Bastille aux Tuilleries

And when we don’t know

Where to belong

Try for a little French song

French song will take you to Paris

To Pigalle or Saint Louis Island

French songs are dancing in the rain

From Bastille to the Tuleries

Because we have de quoi frimer

We have Brassens Brel and Ferré

We have Boris Vian, Barbara

Gainsbourg, Trenet, Prevert, Cosma

Because we have de quoi choisir

We have Aznavour, Reggiani

Bécaud, Nougaro, Moustaki

Édith Piaf, Cloclo and Johnny

Because we have what to brag

We have Brassens Brel and Ferré

We have Boris Vian, Barbara

Gainsbourg, Trenet, Prevert, Cosma

Because we have what to choose

We have Aznavour, Reggiani

Bécaud, Nougaro, Moustaki

Edith Piaf, Cloclo and Johnny

Oui oui oui oui

Bien sûr ce n’est pas Duke Ellington

Ce n’est pas Elvis ni Jackson

Ce n’est pas Fitzgerald ou Armstrong

C’est just a little French song

Mais quand le chagrin reste too long

Moi, je chante une little French song

Yes yes yes yes

Of course, it’s not Duke Ellington

It’s not Elvis nor Jackson

It’s not Fitzgerald or Armstrong

It’s just a little French song

But when the sorrow stays to long

Me, I sing a little French song

Parce que nous avons de quoi frimer

Nous avons Brassens, Brel et Ferré

Nous avons Boris Vian, Barbara

Gainsbourg, Trenet, Prévert, Cosma

Parce que nous avons de quoi choisir

Nous avons Aznavour, Reggiani

Bécaud, Nougaro, Moustaki

Édith Piaf, Cloclo et Johnny

Because we have de quoi frimer

We have Brassens Brel and Ferré

We have Boris Vian, Barbara

Gainsbourg, Trenet, Prevert, Cosma

Because we have de quoi choisir

We have Aznavour, Reggiani

Bécaud, Nougaro, Moustaki

Édith Piaf, Cloclo and Johnny

Oui oui oui oui

Et qu’on soit de Londres ou de Hong Kong

Qu’on soit trois feuilles ou shu-bang

Qu’on soit djellaba ou sarong

Try for a little French song

Quand les méchants sonnent leur gong

Moi je chante une little French song

Yes yes yes yes

Whether you’re from London or Hong Kong

Whether you’re three leaves or shu-bang

Whether you’re djellaba or sarong

Try for a little French song

When the mean ones hit their gong

Me, I song a little French song
