Je m’appelle Clarice.	My name is Clarice.
J’ai vingt-quatre ans et je fais des études d’hôtellerie à Lyon.	I am twenty-four years old, and I am studying hotel business in Lyon.
Je viens de parler avec mon directeur d’études.	I just talked to my supervisor.
On me dit que c’est le moment de choisir définitivement une carrière.	I am told that this is the time to definitely choose a career.
Quoi faire? À l’avenir, je veux tenir une auberge haut de gamme, dans un village voisin peut-être, avec mon copain Guillaume.	What to do? In the future, I want to run a high-end hostel, perhaps in a neighbor village, with my boyfriend Guillaume.
Mais cette année j’ai d’autres décisions importantes à faire.	But this year I have other important decisions to make.
J’écoute les conseils de mes profs et je lis régulièrement les petites annonces de la faculté de mon école.	I listen to the advice of my teachers and I regularly read the classifieds of the faculty of my school.
J’ai plusieurs options: je peux rester à Lyon faire un stage dans un des célèbres restaurants de la ville.	I have several options: I can stay at Lyon do an internship in one of the famous restaurants of the city.
Ou bien je peux essayer de trouver un emploi à l’étranger — à Montréal, à New York, à San Francisco, ou même à La Nouvelle-Orléans.	Or I can try to find a job abroad – in Montreal, in New York, in San Francisco, or even in New Orleans.
Mais je dois aussi penser à ma famille.	But I also have to think about my family.
Mes parents me disent de faire ce que je veux, qu’ils me soutiennent dans toutes mes décisions.	My parents tell me to do what I want, that they support me in all my decisions.
Mais si je pars en Amérique du Nord, ils vont me manquer terriblement, ainsi que mon frère et ma petite soeur.	But if I leave in North America, I will miss them terribly, as well as my brother and my little sister.
En revanche, il y a Internet, nous pouvons nous écrire des mails, ils peuvent visiter l’Amérique et il y a toujours le téléphone.	On the other hand, there is Internet, we can write emails, they can visit America and there is always the phone.
Et bien sûr, le temps passe vite!	And of course, time flies!
