In addition to indicating location, adverbs of place can also express direction or movement towards a place. For instance, “dedans” (inside) and “dehors” (outside) can indicate movement from one place to another. Understanding the proper use of these adverbs is essential for describing spatial relationships and giving clear directions in both written and spoken French.
