Semaine de la francophonie: Every year, on March 20, the International Day of La Francophonie is celebrated throughout the world, in French-speaking countries as well as in those where the French language is less widespread. This date refers to the birth, on March 20, 1970 in Niamey (Niger), of the Agency for Cultural and Technical Cooperation, which would later become the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF).

Today, millions of Francophones live in the world.
