Le bureau de M. Brown est au vingtième étage d’un gratte-ciel. Il n’est pas grand mais il est confortable. Par deux grandes fenêtres on peut voir en bas la Rue White-hall. Aux murs gris il y a des posters et une grande carte de France.	Mr. Brown’s office is on the twentieth floor of a skyscraper. It is not large but it is comfortable. Through two large windows one can see Whitehall Street below. On the gray walls there are some (decorative) posters and a large map of France.
Sur le bureau de M. Brown il y a beaucoup de papiers. Près de la porte il y a un petit bureau avec un ordinateur individuel. Entre les deux fenêtres il y a une longue table. Sur la table il y a des journaux, des revues, et un cendrier.	On Mr. Brown’s desk there are many papers. Near the door is a small desk with a personal computer. Between the two windows there is a long table.On the table there are some newspapers, magazines, and an ash tray.
M. Brown est assis à son bureau quand M. Picard arrive. Il va à la porte pour saluer son professeur.	Mr. Brown is seated at his desk when Mr. Picard arrives. He goes to the door to greet his teacher.
—Bonjour, M. Picard. Je suis très content de vous voir.	Good afternoon (day), Mr. Picard. I am very glad to see you.
—Bonjour, M. Brown. Comment allez-vous?	Good afternoon (day), Mr. Brown. How are you?
—Très bien, merci.	Very well, thank you.
—Votre bureau est très beau. J’aime bien cette carte de France, et ces posters. Quelles jolies couleurs! À propos, M. Brown, la leçon continue! Qu’est-ce que vous voyez sur ce poster-là?	Your office is very beautiful. I like this map of France and these posters. What pretty colors! By the way, Mr. Brown, the lesson continues! What do you see on that poster?
—Je vois le ciel et le soleil, un château blanc sur une colline, avec un toit rouge et beaucoup de cheminées.	I see the sky and the sun, a white castle on a hill, with a red roof and many chimneys.

—II est jaune et il est immense.	It is yellow and it is immense.

—Mon Dieu, it est déjà une heure! C’est assez de couleurs! Je commence a avoir faim. Et vous? N’avez-vous pas faim?	My goodness! It’s already one o’clock. That’s enough of colors! I’m beginning to be hungry. And you? Aren’t you hungry?
—Eh bien, moi aussi, j’ai faim. Pas loin d’ici il y a un bon restaurant.	Well, I’m hungry too. Not far from here there’s a good restaurant.
—Tant mieux! Allons-y!	Fine! Let’s go!
