PARTIR Subjonctif

Partir subjonctif - Conjugation

PARTIR Subjonctif

PARTIR Subjonctif : The subjunctive mood is used to express a contemplated or hypothetical action, a doubt, or a wish. It is the mood of the unreal. In French, it often appears after verbs that convey desire, wish, doubt, emotion, or uncertainty.

Example:
I don’t want them to leave now.
Je ne veux pas qu’ils partent maintenant.

In its construction, the word “que” (or “qu’” before a vowel sound) is placed before the verb to indicate the subjunctive.
