Lyrics : La vie d’artiste

---|---|
La vie est une scène, je fais mon cinéma | Life is a scene, I make my cinema |
Je dis que tout baigne | I say that everything is going well |
même quand ça ne va pas | even when things are not going well |
Il m’arrive même de pleurer dans mes bras | I even cry in my arms |
Tard dans la nuit, pour que personne me voit | Late at night, so that no one sees me |
Non ce n’est pas facile de vivre avec soit | No it’s not easy to live with oneself |
To do what others expect of you |
De dire ça va, | To say it’s okay, |
toujours quand ça va toujours pas | always when it’s still okay |
De traîner ta peine et traîner ta joie | To drag your pain and drag your joy |
La vie est une scène alors je fais le spectacle | Life is a scene so I put on a show |
Je dis que tout baigne | I say that everything is going well |
malgré les obstacles | despite the obstacles |
Maman me disait, vide pas trop ton sac, petit | Mom said to me, don’t empty your bag too much, little one |
Ne pas pleurer c’est faire preuve de tact | Not to cry is to be tactful |
Alors on sourit, pour ne plus être triste | So we smile, so as not to be sad anymore |
On peut se déguiser, on est tous des artistes | We can wear costumes, we are all artists |
We must take care of people, who smile too often |
Ils cachent souvent une tristesse dedans | They often hide a sadness in it |
I close the curtain like we close the eyelids |
So that no one can see what’s behind |
J’ai appris à passer du clown au gangsta | I learned to go from clown to gangsta |
To filter my thoughts like a photo insta |
Pourtant maman me disait, sois toi-même, petit | Yet mom said to me, be yourself, little one |
Because you know, everyone else is already taken |
La vie est une scène, on improvise | Life is a scene, we improvise |
On apprend à danser sous la pluie | We learn to dance in the rain |
À maquiller nos vie et | To make up our lives and |
On en sourit | We smile about it |
