Comment jugez vous votre situation économique actuelle?

How would you rate your current economic situation?

Personne 1: 

Ça fait un an que je cherche un emploi et je commence à me décourager sérieusement. Mes allocations diminuent, j’espère trouver quelque chose avant qu’on les supprime complètement.

Person 1:

I’ve been looking for a job for a year and I’m getting seriously discouraged. My benefits are decreasing, I hope to find something before they are completely cut off.

Personne 2: 

Oui bon…était légèrement augmentée en début d’année… mais avec l’inflation mon pouvoir d’achat est finalement resté le même.

Person 2: 

Yes well…was slightly increased at the beginning of the year…but with inflation my purchasing power finally stayed the same.

Personne 3: 

Je suis très optimiste notamment sur la situation de l’emploi.  Je viens de décrocher mon premier travail avec un salaire de niveau ingénieur. J’envisage d’acheter une voiture et de trouver un appartement plus grand, c’est super.

Person 3: 

I am very optimistic, especially about the job situation. I just got my first job with an engineer level salary. I’m planning to buy a car and find a bigger apartment, which is great.

Personne 4: 

Cela va légèrement mieux mais je le constate davantage dans

mon métier que dans ma vie personnelle. J’exerce ma profession dans une société de travail temporaire et je note une petite reprise mais cette reprise ne change pas tellement mon niveau de vie.

Person 4: 

Things are slightly better, but I see it more in my job than in my personal life.

my job than in my personal life. I work in a temporary employment company and I notice a small recovery but this recovery does not change my standard of living that much.

Personne 5: 

Je fais toujours le même travail dans la même entreprise depuis quelques mois. Il paraît que les affaires vont un peu mieux pour la société mais ça n’a rien changé pour moi.

Person 5: 

I’ve been doing the same job at the same company for a few months now. I hear business is going a little better for the company but it hasn’t changed anything for me.

Personne 6:  

Je ne ressens pas de changement, le loyer de mon appartement prend une

partie importante de mon budget et je consacre l’autre partie de mon revenu à l’épargne. Je travaille beaucoup comme ça, je ne suis pas tentée de consommer plus.

Person 6:  

I don’t feel any change, the rent of my apartment takes a significant part of my budget and I spend the other part of my income on savings. I work a lot like this, I am not tempted to consume more.
