| Alex : Je suis Alex. Enchanté aussi. Que fais – tu dans la vie ? | Alex : I am Alex nice to meet you too. What do you do in life ? |
| Sandy : Je suis une docteure. Je sauve des vies. Je travaille avec des infirmières, des laborantins, des urgentistes. Je soigne des adultes et aussi des enfants. Et toi que fais-tu? | Sandy : I am a doctor. I save lives. I work with nurses, laboratory technicians and emergency doctors. I look after adults and also children .

| Alex : C’est impressionnant, c’est un formidable et important métier. Moi je suis policier. Je fais tout pour assurer votre sécurité. Je travaille avec mes collègues mais aussi avec d’autres services de la ville comme la mairie par exemple. | It’s impressive, it’s a formidable and important job. I am a police officer. I am doing all I can to ensure your safety. I am working with my colleagues but also with others city services like the city hall for example. |
| Sandy : Tu es un héros alors ! Ton métier est difficile et j’imagine que tes collègues et toi allez dans des endroits dangereux. | You are a hero then! Your job is difficult and I imagine your colleagues and you are going to dangerous places. |
| Alex : Oui, il y a des interventions dangereuses mais nous sommes bien formés pour ces situations. | Yes, there are dangerous interventions but we are well trained for these situations. |
| Sandy : C’est parfait alors! Je vais prendre un café tout de suite. Que vas-tu faire maintenant ? | Perfect then! I’ll have a coffee right now. What are you going to do now ? |
| Alex : Si cela te convient, je peux venir avec toi. | If it suits you, I can come with you. |
| Sandy : Avec plaisir, tu es d’une charmante compagnie. | With pleasure, you are of a pleasant company. |
| Alex : oh, Je suis flatté. Il fait très beau ce soir. N’est-ce pas? Il ya un bon vent frais. | oh,I am flattered. It’s very nice tonight. Isn’t? There is a good fresh wind. |
| Sandy : Oui c’est vrai nous avons beaucoup de chance la température est agréable. On va s’installer en terrasse… | Yes it is true we are very lucky the temperature is nice. We are going to sit down on terrace … |
