You see it all the time in the fall, Something that surprises you, It’s a branch, all of a sudden, That blossoms on your neck.It is a small red tree, One, of another color again, And then, everywhere, these golden leaves That fall without anything moving. We like this season, But the night will come so soon! Let us return quickly to the house To roast our chestnuts in the ashes. |
